I am planning a 4D3N visit to Hainan, bring with me 2 elders (in their late 60s). I have a few questions which i hope to hear some advice:
1. What is the likely weather to be in Hainan (Haikou, Sanya) in late Oct? Having just experienced the typhoons in Taiwan, i would definitely want to avoid it, is it a safe, dry period to travel to hainan in late Oct?
2. Due to the infrequent flight offered by the airline, i am planning a 4D3N trip with intention of going direct from Haikou to Sanya on the 1st day by high speed rail, hence 1 nite stay in Sanya, return to Haikou on day 2 (hence 2 nite stay in Haikou) and early morning flight back to SG on day 4. Is such plan ok? Between Haikou and Sanya, which is a more worthwhile stay if the interest is on local markets, street shoppings, some scenaries?
3. I have seen on a travelogue of a place selling roast sucking pig in hainan, any idea where that is? I think my folks will love to go there. If this place is not within Haikou or Sanya, is it convenient to enroute my itinerary to there on the way to Sanya or back to Haikou from Sanya? I really wish i could bring them there.
4. Hotel - i have read about the HNA business seaview hotel in Haikou, how about any recommendation for Sanya? I am looking for convenient location within some shopping (street market) districts.
My folks can't move fast i am hoping this to be a leisure trip with some street market shopping and some scenaries if possible (but not priority). Convenience and safety is my first priority since i am travelling with elderly. Appreciate some advices from travelers, thanks!
