Hiking Base Parque Nacional Alberto de Agostini, Chile

Is anyone aware about hiking opportunities in this national park and has recently collected some experience about it? Which location close to the park is recommendable as a base and would that be mainly using a tent (March 2014)? Thanks for sharing your ideas, I do appreciate!

Alberto de Agostini is a incredilble wondeful park , but without any infraestructure, trails and so. Moreover, the weather can be very impredictable, then a 4season tent is the only alternative, may be some experienced guides at Ushuaia or Puerto Williams can be more helpful, the only base can be Yendegaia, where is a frontier post and is attended sometimes by the ferry going to Puerto Williams

also you can approach by the north by a recently opened road from Estancia Vicuña to Caleta Maria, this can be other base, some settlers live there

HI Claude,

Did you hike in the Alberto De Agostini Park? If yes, please share your experiences and tips. We will visit Patagonia in November and have the same problem as we also want to hike there but no find info about possibilities and access.
