Hotels in Absecon

Hello, my name is Eric, and i am from The Netherlands.

Next july I am foor a week in the New York area.

I am planning to come to Atlantic City for a couple of days.

I booked in Quality Inns & Suites in Absecon.

Can somebody tell me something of this hotel?

Is it a good choice (I have a low budget).

How long a drive is it to Atlantic city?

Thanks, Eric

Hi Eric,

My godmother is from the Netherlands, Carousel I think. Anyway Atlantic City is about 2.5 -3 hours from NYC.

Hello,

The hotel you are staying at is relatively new, and I have not stayed there yet, but it is fine looking from the outside. It is about a 15 minutes drive from the closest casinos. If you are coming midweek, you should be able to stay at one of the casinos for a similar price(there are great midweek special packages). If it is weekend, places in the same town I can definitely vouch for are the Comfort Inn North in Absecon, the Hampton inn in Absecon, and the Holiday Inn Express in Absecon. Good luck.

Thank you very much.

I got a good deal for this hotel and that's the reason I booked it.

I don't want to stay in a casino hotel, because I have a minor with me, so we looked for a hotel a little bit away with a nice pool.

And I always like new hotels, because with older hotels you never know how they are maintained.

Thnx again, Eric

Many of the casinos have magnificent indoor and outdoor pools and beaches, plus very reasonable buffets. There is frequent and very cheap (about $22. r/t) bus service from N.Y.C. right to the casinos. This could be much cheaper than renting a car and paying all the gas and tolls. There is an amusement park right on the boardwalk and most casinos have a game room and activities for children.

The hotels and motels in Absecon are along a busy highway, Route 30. You would definitely need a car to get there. If you will only be in Atlantic City for a couple of days, I think you should consider spending a few extra dollars to stay at one of the casino hotels. It will be a far more interesting and exciting experience, even if you never step foot in the casino. You will be right by the ocean. There are numerous shops and restaurants along the several mile long world-famous boardwalk. There are Las Vegas-like shows each night at the various casinos, featuring some of the top singers and show business stars.

Hope you had a great vacation!

Where will you be staying in NYC, and for how long?
