Dubai check in ideas

We are planning to take the UK flight to Dubai that gets in early morning, Has anyone taken that flights and been able to successfully amuse themselves (with kids) until the check-in time of most of the hotels. Or should we cut our losses and book an extra night? unless anyone rates one of the 24 hours check in hotels. Thanks

The hotels are used to people checking in at odd hours.

At the very least they'll let you leave your bags at the front desk and use the rest of the facilities until your room is ready.

Pack your swimming things in your carry on bag and head for the pool.

Which hotel are you in and what time does your flight arrive? We may be able to give you some more specific advice.

Dubai hotels are so flexible, if the room is not ready or still occupied, then they will accept your luggeage without charge. The best thing you can do is spending your time on the nearest attraction (According to your prefrences). Malls usually have playground area for kids, its size depends on the mall. Beaches are not close from all hotels, so it depends on your hotel location. Or as Latimer said head to the swimming pool, some hotels also have city tour that takes around two hours (Kills Time). Dubai museum is a really nice attraction (but it might be littil bit boaring for kids).

We got to our hotel in early hours but booked for the previous day through our rep so that we had a room ready for us. You're going to a nice place so why give yourself extra hassle?

We got in at 7.00 am and the hotel (oasis beach )gave us our room straight away. Managed to get some sleep and then go out.A lot of hotels also have morning activities for the kids, although bookable in advance they do normally accomodate for last minute bookings.

Hi There, we also arrives really early at about 8 am at the hotel. We waited for 45mins for the room to be cleaned and moved into it straight away. majority of time they will accommodate you. Just in case pack some swimsuits on top so that you can go into the pool just in case you have a to wait a few hours.

I work in a large hotel. If you arrive in the really early hours of the morning (0200 hrs or somehing) I would suggest you pre-register for the night before but if it just early on the day of arrival then don't. Our hotel policy is, if there is a clean room available you can check in. If not leave your luggage until it is ready and as others have suggested find something fun to do.
