Hotel Suggestions - June 2013

Looking at visiting Dubrovnik for a week in June next year. Can anyone suggest a good hotel - looking to stay outside the old city but withing walking distance. We like very small, quiet hotels with a pool preferably and easy access to a beach. Budget around 120 euros a night. Any help would be appreciated.

There are only 4 or 5 hotels within walking distance of the old town and I don't think you will get any of them for 120 euros a night. They are mostly 5 star hotels with prices to match (probably in the 200 - 300 euro range). If you can do without a pool, you might want to consider private accommodation. You should be able to get a really nice, modern apartment with great views for 120 euros a night.

Otherwise you might have to go further from the old city, to Lapad, to find a hotel for under 120 euros per night.

Yes, as an example, we stayed here. It had everything you wanted except the pool. It was less than a 5 minute walk to Old Town's Ploce Gate and a short walk to Banje Beach. If it's a consideration, this apartment also didn't have a lot of stairs and the walk back from Old Town was up a gentle incline (or you could use the Buza Gate which did have a lot of stairs) The neighborhood was still quiet and close to many amenities, such as a bakery and a grocery store. The apartment also had a good size terrace which we quite enjoyed as well. The owner lives at the property and was available if we needed anything.
