Has anyone stayed in the ADRIA Apartments?
Are there steep steps to get to them from the road?
What is the weather like in Dubrovnik at the end of September?
Is it possible to get to the pilgrimage town of Medjugorje from Dubrovnik for a day?

Hi
There isnt a beach near where the cruise ship anchors. Its just a harbour.
In Dubrovnik there are only pebbles beaches. If you like to enjoy sandy beach you have to go to one of the islands ( I reccomend Lopud island).
Also there is a lovely beach that is pebble / sandy just 15-20 min walking from Dubrovnik Old town, it is called Sveti Jakov or on english St Jacobs. For me that is the nicest beach in Dubrovnik. There is also Banje beach just outside old town
Adria Apartments are superb. Some are on the ground floor, otherwise there are some steps leading to the others. The apartments are close to a bus stop and there are frequent buses down to the old town. There is an excellent beach 10 minutes walk north - Cabacabama - good swimming. We made enquiries about travelling to Medjugorje but it is almost impossible by puiblic transport in a day. Maybe car hire would be the answer. Lapard beach is also quite near.
