I plan to spend 2 weeks in Antigua including one week of Spnaish Immersion at the CSA.

Can anyone recommend hotels or B&Bs within walking distance?

There will be 3 adult females (I am dragging my sisters with me) and we don't want to rough it too much.

Thanks

I was at CSA for a week last summer and I stayed at Hotel Casa Rustica. It's about two blocks.

To Portland Family,

I was in Antigua in February and stayed at The Cloister B&B...read the reviews. I am going back in about 3 weeks and again staying at The Cloister and attending CSA...which is about a block or two away.

I love this place. The people who run the B&B could not be nicer and it is in the heart of Antigua, right under the famous arch! Believe me, I am fussy-- no televisions in the room, but who cares; you're in Antigua and besides you should be studying, right?!

When are you going?

THanks for the hotel/B&B recs. We are going in November (the only time we can get off).

Are there any pictures of The Cloisters B&B?

I also wondered about Quinta de las Flores. The reviews sound good, but I can't tell if it is within walking distance of CSA

THanks for your help

Any thoughts on what we should do when we are not in school?

We are very active/ hiking, biking etc

good morning,

i will take some pictures while i am there. i do have pictures of the garden (since I got to The Cloister at 6:30 in the morning & had nothing else to do)...and of the dining room. I can send them directly to your email if you want to send me your email address (click on suzbaglady, and you can send me private message). I'll find out how close the other B&B is to CSA. There is another woman I have been emailing from New York who is also going in November.

Yes, there is LOTS to do in Antigua. If you have a few days I suggest Lake Atitlan. Look it up and you will see why. Stay in touch. Susan

Quinta de Las Flores is not close to CSA. It's a beautiful hotel but it is not in the center of town.
