We considered the visit to Taboga but our local concierge said, depending on the tides, the water may not be wonderful. The oil slicks from the big ocean rigs could wash to Taboga.
Also, it is VERY HOT between 1 pm and 3 pm (or 12:30 pm - 4 pm depending on the day and your tolerance), yet you have no option on ferries except out at 8:30 am and back at 4:30 pm (Tu and Thur; other days have one more ferry trip but not in the morning/ afternoon layout that tourists want.) So you are stuck on the island for a long time if you go.
Two weeks in PC is TOO LONG. I believe it is a really great place to visit for about 4 - 5 days but after a while, you really run out of things to do. It is far better to spend time at a few different locations, and enjoy all the things Panama has to offer, especially Boquete highlands and the Caribbean side for the beach scene.
