reasonbly priced Galapagos

Hi - Most trips from USA with a guided naturalist who speaks english is approximately $3400 (including air) for one week from a New York City gateway. I hear it can be done cheaper than than that. Does anybody know any companies to recommend cheaper than that?

These are organized packages, I have to go where they arrange - the only arranging I get to do is New York to Maimi - after that it's a set itinerary.

That is why I was wondering if the penguin spotting is easy on Tintoreras.

If so, that is the trip that does hotels and smaller vessels to the islands.

If that is the case, then it may be better to go that way, if you think there will be penguins on Tintoreras.

I'd rather forfeit 2 days in Quito and see penguins and go on the smaller trip.

But here's the next quesiton - are Albatross only possible to see on Espanola?

Yes!! They're a picky bunch, and they nest only on Española. Why? I have no clue, and I think neither does anyone else. There are similar conditions elsewhere, but for the birds, only Española will do.
