prices of activities ?

Hi,

I've read this page www.myboracayguide.com/boracay-activities and noticed that the prices are rather steep (personally). Eg. Close to USD40 for maybe 15-30m of motorized activies. I've never come across such steep prices at tourist resorts.

I would like to ask if these prices stated on the website are accurate and uniform across the whole island? Or at most they dont differ by more than USD5? (I know that booking through my resort could be cheaper, but how much cheaper?)

Thanks!!!

I don’t know what myboracayguide sells it for, but they are a middle man . The rates below are what we compiled last time with our family on Boracay, about 3 weeks ago. Please note, never pay more than these rates, but for sure you can pay less on some as we did by negotiating on the beach. Always remember, do not compromise safety for a cheaper rate is the rule of thumb.

Island Hopping P700 per person, group tour.

Parasailing P2000 per person

Jet ski P1900 per person for 30 minutes or P3400 for 60

ATV P400 1-unit for 1-person only.

BUG CAR P700{ 2-people max}

ARIELS POINT P1600 per person

PARAW SAILING BOAT P800 5-people max for 1 hour

PRIVATE BOAT TRIP 3-4 HOURS 2-5 max P1800, no grub or booze

GO CART P850

HELMET DIVING P800 per person for {20-minutes}, you can find this cheaper.for sure.

Just be aware that vendors will shortly be banned from selling tours & activities (Pearls, Religious Icons etc) on White Beach.

I'm sure many companies will already be gearing up for this new regulation & will have alternative approaches , so you'll still be able to get good prices on arrival

unlikely the vendor ban will be enforced and politically and safety wise its not wise to ban the Muslim vendors, but I dont think their association will be included at any attempt to ban them.

Leftovertoo,

Did you go for these activities from your hotel or someone's contact or you simply walked along the beach and someone will approach you?

According to myboracayguide it's P2200 per person for the following for etc:

2,200 PHP for 1-6 Persons

plus 200 PHP per person entrance fee to Crystal Cove

2,700 PHP for 7-10 Persons

plus 200 PHP per person entrance fee to Crystal Cove

Inclusions:

• Banka-boat ride

• Crystal Cove stop

• Swimming in caves

• Snorkeling gear

• Our friendly coordinator will escort you to the boat pick-up location

2200 is rather far from 700 you said, where do you advise I go to get your rates?

Allan Tours is P700 per person, entrance fees are separate to Crystal Cove.

I think you have a private boat which is P1800 for the whole boat not per person when we did it. Allan is a shared boat. I think the rates you quote by my boracaygude are per boat, not per person, I hope so for sure. . Also, you do NOT say how long is the boat trip, Allan is about 4-5 hours. .

I checked up Allan b fun tours but don't see a website for it. Are they (booths/people) everywhere in boracay?

Anyway I saw this deal: beeconomic.com.ph/deals/…

Any opinions about how trustworthy this website is? Then I could keep a lookout for deals that are priced less than the suggested/usual prices written by forumers

They Allan, are located in a booth on the beach. Easy to find them

That site requires email to view it.

for sure mate, ive been to boracay many times and they take advantage of foriegners big time.usually you can talk them down on price.sometimes when you say youll go elsewhere they all of a sudden drop the price by 500 peso.

personally, dont do any activities through vendors or locals who approach you.they are all vulchers and its almost understandable cause its survival for them.go through the big hotels.they will put you onto the right people.
