Many resorts offer this service - ask the reception if a 'Ya-Ya' (nanny) can be arranged.

Look up friendly, family run places such as Dave's Straw Hat Inn (www.davesstrawhatinn.com)

There is also a new creche in the mall where you can drop your kids off for an hour or two and go shopping or have a meal.

Nanny service should be easy to arrange in advance, and cheap. Ask about that when you make your rom reservations.

Is it childcare safe in the philippines for a 2 year old? We are travelling to Manila, Boracay, Dumaguete and Siqujior in a couple of weeks.

Never heard of that happening! As I said, if you stay in a friendly family run hotel they will happily recommend a good nanny for you.
