Place to stay with kids

I would like to know of a place to stay with kids 9 & 13 - we would like a pool and cable and on whites beach preferably near restaurants last time we stayed at Le soleil so how would your recommendations compare with there?

If you are happy with that location, than Le Soleil is actually one of the best in the area. If you fancy a change, here are a couple of options - True Home Hotel (www.truehomehotel.com) is a bit further up the beach towards station 1, has only 8 rooms, and is a really lovely place - beautiful decor, personalised service, nice in-house Italian restaurant, and rooms open up straight onto the beach (and it's very reasonably priced too).

If you prefer the things a little quieter (less hassle from vendors, and fewer tourists), try the southern end of White Beach. Villa Camilla is also quite reasonably priced, and has a swim-up pool bar. Also check out 3-5-7 resort - good value for money.

If your kids must have pools, look up Paradise Garden - they have a couple of lovely ones in a beautiful garden setting.

Is a pool really essential though, when the sea is so close, so warm and so calm? Seems a shame to waste it!

Been to Boracay a few times and have stayed at Regency. It's nice and clean, and right at the beach front. Nice little pool for the kids and adult alike. It' a bit pricy, but then again you pay for what you get. Good luck! and enjoy.

Depends if you want a friendly place with character, or an enormous concrete place on a busy part of the beach like Regency. Smaller hotels usually look much nicer, and give you a more personalised service.

You can also try Red Coconut, they have a pool and close to the newesr center on Boracay, D'Mall...You find the best cafes and restaurants there plus the greates shopping experience...email: info@redcoconut.com.ph

or you check oout The Boracay Beach Resort, website: www.boracaybeachresort.com , No pool but very close to the beach and super children friendly place...Kids may learn windsurfing and kiteboarding...teh resort is owned by our female national windsurfing champion..

I wouldnt let my kids swim in the ocean in front of red coconut hotel, there is a strong septic smell (and maybe worse) from a run off that has been active in front of hotel, across sand and into ocean...

Yes thats true - there's a natural creek that runs into the sea right next to Red coconut and it can be a bit smelly there at times. Red Coconut does have a pool though, and if you want to swim at the beach, walk a couple of minutes north of the resort where it is cleaner.

As an alternative, True Home Hotel is one of my favourites in that sort of price range.
