You are probably looking at between 50 and 60 pesos, although my memory isn't good. Maybe only 40? Not expensive by British standards.

1948 hope you don't mind me joining in.

I'm doing Pete's dive resort at Padre/Sogod and then Alona-seaquest. Breakfast is thrown in so what is a sensible food/drink budget per day. I'm guessing lunch will be a sandwich and fruit on the boat. Then dinner. And then bottled water and a few beers. Would £20 - php 1200 do it per person?

I'm with my stepdaughter so we are doubled up on accomodation costs so am trying to get the budget right/tight as 2 weeks looks like £6000 minimum at the moment. We are not big eaters but do the resorts clobber you on restaurant bills? Haven't seen a sample resort menu anywhere.

Any help gratefull received..

wombat123, P1200 a day for one person would buy you quite a lot.

You may choose to have a fairly light lunch then a heavier dinner, the latter with two courses.

Beers range from P35 to P70 at most accommodation and pubs or cafes.

Cheaper if you buy from a supermarket and keep a stock in your hotel fridge.

Prices are a bargain compared to what one will pay in Australia, USA or UK.

And tx from me too and to you great1948 for kicking this off, hope the beers flow sweetly down your throat.

As the pound is over 69 pesos at the moment I'm thinking of getting my dosh now despite not going till March. Makes those cold beers even cheaper.

Dubson as I dive everyday breakfast for me is coffee and juice so nothing much. But most places seem to throw that in. But point taken.
