Wife and I will celebrate our 10th anniversary next April. With the airlines making frequent flier miles harder to use we want to book now. We have traveled internationally several times to Europe and most recently Argentina. We are thinking Asia may make a memorable trip. Two keys are we need to use Delta miles - so we are limited to flying on Delta partners like Singapore, Air France, Korean Air, etc. Second, we will be using Marriott points.
We seem to have got our choices down to either Bali, staying at the Ritz Carlton, or a trip to Thailand. In Thailand we would most likely want to combine Bankok and possibly Phuket or another beach area. We do want to limit ourself to one flight within Thailand to limit cost and maximize our vacation time. We have thought about flying into Phuket from Seoul, and then a quick flight to Bankok and home from there.
We will have about 8 or 9 nights to spend and will be going in April.
We would like to combine some beach time with some cultural sights. This will be a first time for both of us seeing the temples and other sights.
Any advice is much appreciated!
