Hi,

What kind of activities r U into?

5 days for both cities sure isn't enough. Since it's Ur first to China, then U should give Shenzhen more, cos Guangzhou hasn't got many tourist attractions as Shenzhen. I only been to "five goats park", "Sun Yat Sen memorial park", shopping at "Lau Tsu Cie" in Guangzhou.

More sight seeing, parks, in Shenzhen: "Windows of the world", "Splendid China", "China Folk Culture village". They r side by side. U can squeez the last two into 1 day. For Windows, U need whole day, stay back till the last performance in the evening, which involved hundred of actors, very collosal, sure not to miss!

Shopping at Lohu, bargain hard, 50% off isn't good enough, most of the times till 70% off from what they offer. All branded products r fake.

Try local foods, prices is reasonable.

T A experts pls help, more tips for Guangzhou n Shenzhen.

Thx

Thanks for this info Kenny. Do you know what time the final performance at Windows of the World is on? I can't find an English translation of their website so haven't been able to see the hours

I don't know what this is doing in the Macau forum, but why not spend some time in Macau anyway? :-)

It depends on your interests, but IME Guangzhou has a lot more to offer tourists than Shenzhen does, although it is more of a challenge to get around just because of its huge size. Historical/cultural sites include the Chen Family compound, Lotus Mountain & pagoda, and the renegade emperor's museum. Out in the suburbs in Panyu I didn't like the Hight Zoo that much, but the acrobatic show was excellent, and Judge Pao Garden has everything from rose garden to swimming pool to art galleries and traditional craft demonstrations.
