Any suggestions for 5D 4N itinerary for 2Adults n a 3 years

Hi. Its my first visit to HK n we will be there from 5D 4N. We will be staying in ovolo tung chau street. Which airport bus number can we take to the hotel or nearby dropoffs stop?

Can we cover disneyland by 4pm if we left the hotel at 9am?

We would like to try the tram as my 3 year old loves seeing them on YouTube. Are there any tram stops near sham shui po or our hotel?

Anyone has any similar itinerary to share especially on bringing a small toddler? Thank you in advance.

None of the airport buses stop less than about 500-metres from the hotel. E21 probably stops closest at either of Yen Chow Street, Cheung Sha Wan Road or Sham Shui Po Station, Cheung Sha Wan Road stops. A21 bus has stops a little further away. Taxi from airport to hotel would only cost about HK$230 plus luggage charge of HK$5 per large piece.

There are no trams nearby. Your hotel is Kowloon and trams only run on the northern side of Hong Kong Island on the other side of the harbour.

Guerilla OP is staying at the Ovolo hotel at Tung Chau Street, Kowloon. So that is nowhere near a tram stop (ding ding tram). There are other Ovolo hotels so it can be confusing.

Thank u dear all for your invaluable suggestions. Hmm. Seems like the hotel I've chose is not very accessible. Well, guessed I just have to stick to it n hope it doesn't rain much or we may hv difficulty returning to the hotel with our 3 year old. Unless we flag down a cab.

The Ovolo on Tung Chau Street is not quite ideally located. Google map shows 750m, or around a 10-minute walk, from either Sham Shui Po or Nam Cheong Station. Not many attractions in the vicinity, and the area goes pretty quiet at night.

From the airport, your best bet is the taxi, as SolentTraveller suggested.

A couple of useful bus routes at nearby Yen Chau Street (outside Nam Cheong Estate):

212 goes to Mongkok and Yau Ma Tei; and

914 goes to Central, Wanchai and Causeway Bay.

Neither of the above are very frequent. If you want to go somewhere quick, better stick to the MTR or taxi.

Hello Cin_Fab_JJ,

Type in itinerary, 4 days in Hong Kong or something similar into the Search Box at the top of this forum page and you'll find loads of discussions on what to do/see in HK during this amount of time. There are more or less constant conversations taking about about trips of this length. Other resources that might be worth browsing for your itinerary planning.

Hi All, MANY THANKS for the suggestions. Finally managed to draft out an itinerary.

Here's our itinerary, wonder whether it's workable ;)

Day 1 (28 Apr,Mon)

Arrive in HKIA at 1.30 pm. Proceed to Ovolo Tung Chau Hotel for check in. Will b taking a cab.

Will leave hotel at around 4pm for TST for light shopping n dinner. Will pop by TST promenade to see the symphony of lights

Day 2 (29 Apr, Tues)

9am to leave hotel for Disneyland via MTR Sham Shui Po

Will spend whole day at Disneyland unless our boy gets tired. If he does, we will probably leave before seeing the fireworks

Day 3 (30 Apr, Wed)

10am To leave hotel for Ocean Park at Admiralty station, bus transfer.

4pm to leave Ocean Park for Causeway Bay. To try out the Ding Ding tram. Which destination should we alight at for a nice dinner if we board at causeway bay? Thank u.

Day 4 (1 May, Thurs)

9am, leave hotel to take cable car at ngong ping. Visit Po Lin Monastery n Tai-O.

Question:"think it will be crowded for the cable car queue, any idea if we can purchase the tickets online?will this make a difference to cut short waiting time in buying the tickets? Thanks.

Day 5 (2 may, Fri)

Will check out n shop around Sham Shui Po from 12pm onwards. Intend to deposit luggages at hotel's concierge.

night flight back to spore at 8.25pm.

5.45pm, we will be leaving the hotel for airport check in n dinner at airport via cab.

It would be quicker and easier to take MTR from Nam Cheong Station to Disneyland, rather than Sham Shui Po Station. Nam Cheong Station is the same distance from the hotel but is on the Tung Chung Line and you only change lines once, at Sunny Bay, for Disneyland Resort. From Sham Shui Po the journey takes longer and involves changing lines at Lai King and Sunny Bay.

You can book Ngong Ping 360 cable car tickets online up to 7 days in advance to avoid ticket office queues but since 1st May is a public holiday expect high demand for tickets. The number of tickets available for online reservation is limited to allow ticket availablity for walk-up customers.
