|
which of these airport express hotels is close to the cosmopolitan 387 Queens rd east, wan chai: Island Shangri-La Pacific Place Renaissance Harbour View Hotel Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre The Wharney Guang Dong Hotel Hong Kong Novotel Century Hong Kong Hotel Rosedale on the Park The Park Lane Is this walkable distance? |
|
None easily walkable with luggage. Suggest to take the hotel's own shuttle bus from AEL station, see their timetable at:

their shuttle doesn't operate until 8am. but i arrive earlier. i have very little luggage. Which hotel is the closest and how far is the walk? thanks

Can you afford HK$3.40? From the AEL HK Station near IFC, walk to the United Chinese Bank Building at 31-37 Des Voeux Road Central. Take bus #10 and alight at the stop at Morrison Hill Road before Leighton Road and walk to your hotel.

Just to answer your question : the Regal is the nearest to Cosmopolitan, but it'll involve a brisk 20min walk (assuming you don't get lost) The area will not be on any tourist maps, so get on Google Maps or something. Cosmopolitan Hotel is to the south-west of Regal. Find your way onto Hysan Avenue (reference : Lee Gardens Plaza with a big Gucci store) and onward to Leighton Road (reference : a Crowne Plaza Hotel being built on your left) Alternatively, a taxi ride might cost around HK$35-40.

Cosmopolitan and her sister hotel, Cosmo, are at a very odd location between Wan Chai, Causeway Bay and Happy Valley. Other than hotel shuttles and taxis, your best bet would be public buses so bus #10 is a good suggestion. If I were you, if the hotel shuttle is not available for some reason, just take a taxi. It should cost around HK$30 which is very reasonable.

Really? I went on the Airport Express bus around 7 or so a few months ago. Don't know if they changed a rule though...
|
Thanks I think i take the taxi in that case. The airport shuttle bus operates around 7 but the hotel shuttle for the hotel I'm staying in starts at 8.

I see... well then the taxi is a good choice then! Especially since you are flying so far and are arriving in the morning...jetlag?
