Hi. Is December 31 (Monday) a holiday in Hong Kong? Where do you suggest we spend our New Year's Eve?

Thanks in advance. :-)

Monday isn't, but January 1st will be.

Depends how you want to spend it.

1000s will be in areas such as near the clock tower in TST, in Lan Kwai Fong and Times sq in causeway bay. If you like big crowds (and I mean BIG) then these would suit you.

Western style restuarants and bars will have a special menu for that night. If you like spending too much for substandard meals, then there will be many choices for you.

Other parts of HK will be quieter, and public transport either runs overnight, or until very late.

Hi

For the past 3 years we have spent New Years Eve in TST, lots of people but a nice atmosphere, we have eaten at Dan Ryans there is a special New Years Eve menu but there normal menu is still available at the same price, food was OK but the atmosphere was really good.

We are staying in Causeway Bay this year for Countdown.

I am sure wherever you choose you will have a good time.
