Go Pro or No?

Hello Everyone,

I am taking a 2 week study trip to China. I am considering purchasing a Go Pro camera or something similar because I want to document as many things as I can for my kids. Pictures are great but I want them to be able to see how things move and sound. Any concerns about taking a video camera on a guided tour? Any suggestions on a camera that may be better suited than a Go Pro?

why not and complement it with Go Pro App on your smartphone, and with an unlocked smartphone(using a China Unicom prepaid SIM with data bundle) whilst in China, anywhere you go and doing and taken with Hero, straight away on the spot share it.

Welcome here. As long as you don´t walk into a military compound to film no problem at all.

I had no problem filming anywhere. I took movies and pictures everywhere i went. I just never filmed military or police anywhere i went and ran into them mostly on Tiananmen Square.
