Have you happened to have seen the Hilton being built? Am I going to have to leave to get to the Hilton? I've tried contacting reservations, but their no help. Is it going to be just as much of a hassle to get to the Hilton as it will be to get to a hotel close to the airport. I read that taxis don't want to take you to hotels close to the airport.

Yes I saw the hotel when I was last at the airport but not up close so I cannot say if it is open. I can understand taxis that stand in line forever not wanting to take you there. Normally airport hotels have a shuttle bus.

I'm not totally clear about your questions/situation but I'd assume that when the Hilton does open it will have its own shuttle service because taxi drivers won't be happy to take such a short journey (although they can come back and jump straight to the front of the queue after short journeys). I think the rest rooms you mention are airside and for passengers in transit - so if you're entering China I'd assume they're a non-starter.
