“ Please help me decide between 4 Wangfujing hotels ”

It is between Motel268, Hotel Novotel Peace, North Garden Hotel and Holiday Inn Crown Plaza. The Motel 268 is much cheaper but is just as convenient to the Wangfujing Shopping Street. I am wondering if the other 3 hotels are any different than Motel268 and worth the CNY488. Any help would be great, thanks!

I had a wonderful memorable visit to the historic city of Nara.

As for Beijing, the Asia on Sale program expiring this Saturday, 25 July 2009, is a bargain. The Crowne Plaza Wangfujing(do not use Holiday Inn with the name or it will confuse everyone) is half price. It is rated #37 by TripAdvisor reviewers from 142 reviews, a very good sampling.

If you would think about the Holiday Inn Central Plaza, a bit away from the shopping street, you will save 100 yuan and stay in the #4 ranked Beijing hotel (from 213 reviewers), and an overall "Travelers Choice 2009" worldwide selection. See: tripadvisor.com/Hotels-g294212-Beijing-Hotel…

Use the money you save to take the cheap taxis in Beijing.

The other hotels you have mentioned are ranked much lower, with the Novotel the closest to the Crowne Plaza.

Since you are a shopper, you know how to select a bargain. For value received, the Crowne Plaza will be a bargain, and the Holiday Inn Central Plaza an even bigger deal.
