 Hotels at Wanfujiang?

What hotels are "in" Wanfujiang? We are recommended to stay there (family of 4 including 2 kids aged 6 & 8). We were going to book the Park Plaza and someone who just returned said that Park Plaza is actually not in Wanfujiang but close.

Thanks.

The Novotel Peace hotel appears to be a decent though pretty bland hotel about the same level and located in the area (and with pool for the kiddies). If your trip dates are set and you book directly with them over their own website, they are having a good summer sale now (100% non reimbursable non changable). But breakfast is not included and is ridiculously expensive there (apparently there are good places - restaurants... - nearby so that is not a big problem). We are likely to book with them ourselves (small family too), once our own plans are set. Note that your kids would be free in their double rooms.

There are many hotels close to Wangfujing street. It is not a bad place to stay although it is very touristy. Very few local people go there.

I was staying at the Crowne Plaza on Wangfujing about three days ago. It was a great hotel, as you would normally expect with Crowne Plazas. Maybe 3 to 5 minute walk along Wangfujing to get to the part of the road blocked off for pedestrians. Close to forbidden city and some other attractions, and not too far by taxi to others. A little expensive perhaps, as it's a 5 star hotel (and one that actually deserves it's rating).
