tour suggestions 1 and a half days

I will be in Beijing for 1 and a half days next week. Any suggestions on tours and hotels that are good but not expensive? Particularly what part of the great wall to see?

Beijing Double Happiness Courtyard Hotel which is located in the real central area of the city, steeped in typical Chinese culture and history. This courtyard used to be the house of a gifted, ancient scholar and dignitary, Mr. Ji Xiaolan during the Qing dynasty and have more than 200 year's history. 250 years ago the hotel was once his beautiful urban villa. It is built in the typical, old Beijing architectural style with a compound of quadrangle courtyards. Beijing Double Happiness Courtyard Hotel is also near the Drum Tower. So this one is the best one you choose.

Half day to Mutianyu Great Wall and in one day you can go to Tiananmen Square, Square City Tower, Forbidden City, Beihai Park and Jingshan Park where overview the Forbidden City. Or in one day sightseeing Temple of Heaven and Summer Palace.

Destination Expert   What's this?
for Shanghai, Hangzhou, Suzhou

That sounds like it was copied from some Chinese tourist brochure.

What's your definition of "not expensive"?

Would you be staying on a weekend or weekday?

The major must-see sights would take at least 4 days to see, so you'll need to prioritise. Seeing that you only have 1.5 days, and you'll probably need to spend 0.5 day for the Great Wall (would recommend Mutianyu in this case) then you only have 1 remaining day.

why not email Qing , a guide we used last year , as Beijing is 'fairly' busy and big and we thought is was good to be able to have a 'private' tour guide and move fairly effortlessly around the city , as everthing is quite spaced out , so a lot of time can be taken up getting from one site to the next
