I currently have contact with a certified tour guide with driver in beijing. I asked for a quote and will get the following:

pick up from airport

3.5 days of touring

entrance to sites

fuel and toll costs

transfer to xingang cruise port

The quote is just over 5000 RMB. Is this a reasonable quote for two persons?

Also do prices generally go up for tour guides/drivers during golden week?

It's pretty hard to determine, as you've not told us what sights you're going to, what type of vehicle you're using etc.

Yes, prices do generally go up for the holiday weeks.
