Scitech hotel which is near east 3rd loop line and not too far from Sanlitun. the price is 698 Yuan 100$ per night.

Glory hotel,which is in the same area. the price is 758yuan 108$.it is

5 star hotel.

From what I've read Sanlutin seems to be the popular area for people my age... However, it seems like I found a great deal on Novotel 85$/night including Tax, how far is novotel from the main sights and sanlutin by Taxi at night? Thanks.

I would say that Novotel Peace is in a rather good location. It's a little east of Wangfujing and only about 200m away from Dengshikou metro stop on line 5, which's quite useful for getting around cheaply and quickly.

I reckon coming back from Sanlitun by taxi at night to cost around 20 RMB.

I stayed at Novotel Peace and whilst it was a very good hotel I think you are better off getting a hotel close to nightlife it thats what you are going to do regularly. The hotel is well located in terms of sightseeing things but you only go to those once. I dont know what the good bar areas are as we had my 7 yo with us but i didnt see much around the Novetel. So if i were you find out where the nightlife is and get a hotel with easy access to there. All the major sightseeing locations can easily be got to by subway anyway. So its handy to be close to the subway.
