Anyone local in Hong Kong that can give advise on local travel? i.e. Hong Kong to Guangzhou? Best to fly, train, bus service, or private transfer?
Can I hire a local person in Hong Kong to interpret? Will be going to Guangzhou for a Trade Fair and may then need to visit different Home Offices of different businesses. Report as inappropriate |

I usually hire a private guide and van. It costs arounfd $50US a day. I would think the companies you will be visiting have fully qualified interpreters on site. many many people in China speak English, especially in the bigger centres. Report as inappropriate | ||||||

Private guide and a van sounds like my way to travel. How do you arrange this? Is safety and issue? I am not sure that I have confidence in a translator employed by a company that I may be doing business with. Have been told to have my own interpreter in order to assess everything being said.
