Serena or Ashnil@triangle or Kicheche Naboisho in Aug

I have most of my first safari booked, but I am trying to decide on lodging for Maasai Mara in August.

From what I can decipher:

Serena: most mass market, but best location for views and migration river crossing potential

Ashnil: a little more upscale but electric fence is off putting

Kicheche - nicer lodging and good game but too far to see migration

Thoughts from experts?

This is my first African safari. I am visiting Tanzania Serengeti and Ngorongoro in addition to Maasia.

Thank You

Though Kicheche Valley is a bit of a distance from the Reserve, if staying minimum 3/nts you should be entitled to 1/day inside the Reserve. Any additional, would entail the daily Reserve fee of $80/pp.

Regardless the fact it will be a full day, it's so welcoming to return to Naboisho where there are few camps, fewer vehicles and people. The landscapes are beautiful and there's plenty of game.

Good luck with your decision.
