Afternoon to kill in Nairobi - where's good?

We will be in Nairobi from mid morning to 6.30pm in the afternoon on June 2nd.

We will have just travelled 12 hours by bus and will be travelling 14 hours by train overnight.

Ideally it would be a resort or hotel where we could relax, get food, get pampered a bit before we travel onwards!

Any advice as to where is good and the rough price would be awesome! We dont need a room, just use of facilities

Thanks

Nathan

What about the Fairview - though I guess you might need to have a day room to use the facilities. After 12 hours on a bus, you'll need a shower and maybe a snooze.

I would suggest you try Serena hotel, its just next to CBD and so been a Sunday you can also take advantage and stretch you legs by visiting the Maasai Market at the CBD.or may be just a hotel in the CBD like the Sarova Stanley

Hi - some of the hotels close to the train station are Inter Cont, Hilton & Serena. My vote for Serena. Since Jun 02 falls on a Sun, there won't be much traffic on the way to the station.

Hi,

Silver springs hotel not luxurious but very competitive rates and best of services. Although you require a taxi a cab to the train station.
