Hello!

I am staying at Safari Park hotel for a night in Nairobi, 1 night in sweet waters tented camp, 1 night in Mara Naivasha, 4 nights in Mara simba. We are waitlisted at Ashnil mara and Mara Sarova. We wanted a family room/tent sharing with 2 childre. Our quote for transfers, stay, park and food was $2200 a piece. Is this too much or is this expected. I was told that getting a single room for 4 could be pricey? Is this right... I was thinking it should be cheaper on the contrary. Please advise

Hi your price seems good, we are staying at rianta mara for three nights, flying to Masai from naoribi and paying $1350 per person.

Our previous booking was at ashnil 2 nights, flamingo tent at lake nakulu 1 night, private safari 4x4 cruiser for $1200 per person.

Check what vehicles they use, I would be interested to know which safari company you are booking with.

From what I understand most accomodation is based on two people sharing a room. So I would think you would be getting two rooms-better than squishing in with the kids
