And a good idea to include the TA members names for references. I know that I have been contacted by members looking for reference so maybe they will add their input after their trips, too.

Jill, I did see your recommendation for the guide in Luxor and a few other people also mentioned guides in other areas, but I decided to focus this main list on those who can cover Cairo.

From my experience with talking to guides and what I have seen on the forum, often guides recommend other guides they know in the required destination.

Anyway it was quite a job and I am glad I got it done, and hopefully we will continue to receive "genuine" recommendations, and if/when I see any odd looking ones, I WILL ASK FOR THEM TO BE REMOVED !

Great job Wendy, as you always made us used to see from you :) it is really a great list and good idea to make this new list and enrich it with names of people who recomended each guide, this can make it easier for references

I hope this post be saved from so much self advertising that we suffered from in the previous post, and you are right we must ask removal of any one that seem not original or real recomendation

Thanks for this Wendy, i have saved this list in my file, saves me asking about tour guides, nearer the time we go.

The only palace now we will need a recommended tour guide is for when we go to St Catherines Monastry.

Well done Wendy it must have taken you hours to type all this info, i wouldn't know where to start, let alone all that typing, my fingers get sore just after a few lines of typing. :-)

Just returned from Egypt on Sat, and did a day tour to Cairo from Sharm.

Our private tour guide, Rasha, was brilliant, she was very friendly, professional and knew what she was talking about. She knew what we wanted to see, and gave us an indeepth tour of everything. Herself and her driver were brilliant and we really enjoyed our day.

Again, i must say a huge thank you to Rasha, and if you book her for your trip, you will not be dissapointed.
