I can't tell you about the Lehns as I'm not familiar with it, but the West Plaza Desekel is a good, clean place within walking distance to shops and restaurants.

I stayed at Lehns in January 2008. It was very spacious, clean and cheap. Very friendly staff. I took a taxi to Kramers for my meals and did not walk out to the center of town. It might be a bit of a walk but very doable in my opinion.

hi SeawitchBologna, i've been to Lehns Motel before, it's clean but its not actually at the center of Koror. Palau Hotel (F&B Palau HOtel) is nearer to the shopping centers, restaurants and a lot more. I checked in Palau HOtel before, clean and inexpensive.

But of course there are lot more hotels in Palau, but if you're going there to dive (best dive site in the world!), finding a budget hotel withour comprising convenience is topmost priority.

West Plaza is also near shopping centers but prices are way higher.

Hope this could help.

Chinesechou, diving is not the only thing you can do in Palau. Like i said if you check in a budget hotel near the center of Koror like Palau Hotel, you can put your money on the best things that Palau can offer.

Long Island Park, Palau - this is a park where tourists are allowed to visit and swim for free. Snorkeling is also done by a lot of travellers here, when tides are high you get to see big fishes and sea snakes. They said there used to be giant clams here but they were removed when the Malakal bridge was reconstructed.

Belau National Museum and Etpison Museum-you pay only a cheap entrance fee, they feature Palau's history, culture and a lot more.

Palau Coral Reef Center (Palau Aquarium)-if you want to explore the marine life of Palau without getting wet, this is a place for you, again the entrance fee is cheap. They have themed aquariums representating the different habitat and natural environments of Palau's reefs and the various fishes and marine life present in those habitats.

There are more places to visit there. Hope these ones will be included in your planned trip to Palau.
