I need your help urgently please.

My good friends are getting married in the UK and emigrating to Abu Dhabi in September.

Guests and friends will want to buy gifts but this seems impractical in view of their imminent move.

Can anyone suggest a store(s) in Abu Dhabi where we could buy vouchers on line and then they can spend on their chosen household item at their leisure.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi there

As far as I am aware there are no stores in AD that offer this service. It might be better to give cash or write cheques which they can then pay into their UK bank account and use their debit cards here.

I have noticed there is an M & S and Debenhams in Abu Dhabi. I was wondering about maybe purchasing vouchers there?

They are both v small stores and Debenhams only sells clothes. M&S has a small selection of home stuff but nothing like UK stores. Not sure whether they do vouchers but I know that vouchers bought in the UK wouldn't be exchangeable here and they definitely don't do online stuff.
