3 days in Lebanon...what to do?

Hello,

I'm a 28 year old male and looking for advice on what things to see and do while in Lebanon. Also, any advice on places to go dance and grab drinks would be great.

Thanks!

Hi,

On day one you can visit Jeita Groto, Byblos ruins citadel and harbor and continue to Tripoli in the afternoon; on day two you can visit the Roman Temple of Baalbeck with its adjacent museum, the Omayades ruins in Anjar, Zahle with its very close winery of Ksara; on day three Deir el Qamar with its wax museum ,the nearby Moussa castle, the opulent Palace of Beit Eddine, in the afternoon continue to vist the Phoenician Eshmoun temple and later the Crusader sea castle, soap museum and souks in Sidon.

To grab drinks you can visit the different pubs located on Gouraud street

just off Martyrs Square in Beirut city center.

Regards

Beirut...

It's not enough! Spend one evening in Hamra and one on the Gemmayze (Gouraud St) bar strip for drinks in any number of great places. For food in a lively local place with great food try Al Falamanki, Damascus Street. For the daytime we'll need more info. Could be ruins, beach club, mountain walks, natural wonders (Jeita) or whatever depending on what you are looking for. It also depends if you want to see the capital most, or try to learn about the whole country.

I recommend just wandering the city (or having a drive round) - not only the rebuilt downtown of Solidere but also the older war remnants in Basta and Patriarcat - roughly south of the new downtown.
