amman to the dead sea...

Not really into organised excursions, so want to catch a bus to the Dead Sea from Amman..Is it true that the bus only runs on a Friday.

How easy is it to hire a car and drive....not sure about driving as we are comming from a very small Greek Island...and not used to traffic.

there is one only bus on Fridays from Amman to Dead Sea.Bus leaves 8 am and retruns 5 pm.This bus suits locals who want the spend the whole day.It dsnt suit tourist who usually dsnt have much time to spend.

Most tourist visiting Dead Sea stay a couple of hours to do the ritual float on salty water and cover themselves in black mud take photos and wash off..Usually you go on visiting sites on the way or near by which the bus dsnt do that. You can visit Bethany,Madaba,Nebo and Wadi Mujib on the same day.

cheers

Hello christinefromkos,

As Ali & Syriafullbottle said the bus from Amman going to Dead Sea is only available during Fridays. If you will hire a car you can visit amazing spots on the way like Mt Nebo, Madaba and Bethany before going to Dead Sea and experience to float on the salty water.

Have fun!

Cassie :-)
