The Dan Panorama in Jerusalem is a centrally located hotel. Across he street is a Cup of Joe and the new LIttle Italy. ( it is now a meat restaurant which I have not been to--but it is getting good reviews) Within a 10 -15 minute walk you can be at the Mamila Mall, Ben Yehuda Street, Yoel Salomon Street, and Yafo. A slightly longer walk will get you to Emek Refaim ( or take the bus across from the hotel) There are literally dozens and dozens of places to choose from. Others WILL give specific names but personally, I like to explore and find new places. Walk around, look at menus and check it out. Be aware that Israelis don't necessarily eat until 7-8PM so just because a place isn't bursting at the seams at 6:30 doesn't mean it isn't really good

In terms of prices, if you go to e-luna.com you will find restaurants and menus. Note: this site only has Kosher restaurants

On Keren HaYesod street, opposite the Jerusalem Dan Panorama, you'll find the excellent Paradiso restaurant which is open on Saturday as well (but not on Sunday as far as i recall).

10-15 minute walk to the South you'll find the German Colony and it's main street Emek Refa'im. And to the North, King George V street and City Centre. For suggestions, have a look at the Jerusalem restaurants section.

Suzzana in Neve Zedek near Dan Panorama Tel Aviv is a very nice not expensive place. Delal and Belini are expensive. Manta Ray across the street and on the beach is very expensive.
