Ataturk or Dalaman airport

We will be flying in to Ataturk airport on Etihad airways and then transfering to Turkish airways to fly to Dalaman. Should we check our luggage at source through to Dalaman or would it be adviseable to check luggage to Istanbul and clear customs there and then re check luggage to Dalaman.

Thanks

hi CBS123,

If you are flying both legs with ONE airlines ( the same airlines ) then yes check your bags all the way though to Dalaman. however if you are travelling on 2 different airlines then you will proceed with visa, customs and immigration at Istanbul and then pick up your bags for your internal flight

CBS1234, If you can check your luggage thru Dalaman, it is much better. However, you still have to go thru immigration. You can get your visas online from "https://www.evisa.gov.tr/en/info/".
