Has anyone used the travel agents 'Simply Malaysia' before? We are thinking of using them for our honeymoon to Kota Kinabalu, Langkawi & KL. I've never used them before and want to see if anyone has & if they had a good experience with them?

& also whilst on this topic is Malaysia a good honeymoon destination?!!

Tks!

Hi

have never used them, as always book the trip myself. As long as they are ABTA, ATOL and IATA fully bonded members then you should be protected.

Google each of those initials to find out more about each group. ATOL is a consumer protection scheme, set up to protect consumers in the event of their tour operator ceasing to trade. One of the objectives of IATA is making buying tickets easier, as it accredits travel agents worldwide to ensure they provide the high standards of service and dependability that airlines and their clients expect. ABTA is there to maintain high standards of trading practice for the benefit of the travel industry at large, and the consumers that they serve.

Simply Malaysia is one of the trading names for Oriental Panorama Ltd. Their website only shows ATOL bonded, which is a consumer protection scheme, set up to protect consumers in the event of their tour operator ceasing to trade. Do remember that if someone had a bad experience it may not be the fault of this company, but too often the company is blamed, so take a measured approach to any complaints. If you are concerned shop about for other deals and see how they compare. Booking via a ‘high street’ chain of travel agents will also increase you protection if you feel that you need it. As I have said we always book it ourselves which gives us the flexibility and freedom, flights are always ATOL/ABTA/IATA bonded, then book hotels via various methods.

Malaysia is a truly fabulous place for a honeymoon. You have chosen KK and Langkawi which are truely magical places, especially for a honeymoon. KL is an experience in itself, vibrant and exciting.

Have a great one.
