By air circa 50 minutes and circa $135.

By bus just under seven hours, sometines closer to six hours and $14.

Plenty of postings on the several bus companies.

There you have it.

Hi, I travelled by Mekong Express bus from Phnom Penh to Ho Chi Minh city last September and it was a very good trip...only cost about $12 and took about 6 hours, and probably over 1 hour of that time was doing to border stuff, lining up for passport check etc. The bus was really comfortable and they showed movies, provided bottles of water and were very organised. We were 3 women in our 50s and it was not at all a drama for us, I would easily do it again...a good trip and not tiring at all...+ you get to see some of the countryside, which is missed when flying.

It takes 6 hours and it passed by very quickly as we were all tourists and spent most of the time telling each other our travelling experience in Vietnam.

Should you already have a visa organised if you are doing this bus trip? Or can you do it at the border?
