Safe road travel for kids in Saigon - seatbelts in taxi's?

Do the taxi's in Saigon have seatbelts? I keep hearing that the traffic is pretty hectic and we are travelling with two children. Unsure about the safest way to get from airport and around the city for the kids.

The reliable taxis like Vinasun are almost brandnew cars with seatbelts.

The traffic in HCMC is slow and I think taxi is not a problem. The dangerous things are going on motorbikes, overland buses, bikes and of course there's a risk for pedestrians.

What Pzinken said!

In Saigon, you're pretty much cruising.

Safety is mostly a concern for motorbike riders and pedestrians who need to watch where they're going.

BTW, I'm thinking you might be interested in this blog; it has some good info on activities for kids:

The taxi's we travelled in all had seatbelts so it shouldn't be a problem.
