Room Type 2day/1night Paloma Ha Long Bay Cruise

Does anyone have any recommendations on whether it is better to book a superior or deluxe room on the Paloma Ha Long Bay Cruise (2 day/1 night)? We (my husband and I) are not too fussed about luxury but at the same time don't want to be too cramped when we are in our cabin - not sure if a balcony area is included in either room type - would appreciate any feedback from others who have been on this cruise. Looking at a cruise in late July this year.

Thanks,

Brigitte

Hi

The Paloma suite cabin will have a private balcony and certainly it is larger than others and the Deluxe cabin just have windows and it's different with Superior cabin it's location ( on the second level). So it's easy for you to walk up to the sundeck or dinning room if you book a Deluxe cabin.

Best,

Only suites have private balcony. The Superior room is 13sqm and the Deluxe room is 15 sqm, you may check Paloma Boat Description in second tab: …visitwonders.com/en/boats-detail/paloma-cru…

On Paloma Cruise, the Superior Rooms are located at first floor, no balcony, but have window, Deluxe Cabin are located at second floor, no balcony but have window. Family Suite and Suite cabins are located at second floor and have private balcony

Paloma Cruise has 4 types of cabin , superior , deluxe , Paloma suite and Family suite.

All cabins has large window., only suite cabin on second floor has private balcony . superior cabin on first floor , deluxe cabin on second floor. the deluxe cabin is larger then superior one.

Our family were onboard the Paloma, during our 3 Day 2 Night cruise just a few days ago. Personally I felt the Superior cabin is sufficient in terms of space and movement.

The advantage, being on the first level is the ease of getting on the tender boat for trips. As for meals, just need to climb 2 levels of stairs to the third level.

Thank you to everyone who replied. This is very helpful I think we will have a think about whether we really need a balcony or would be happy with first floor (standard) room or second floor (deluxe room)

We have just done the 2D/1N with Paloma, and we booked a superior room. It's on the 1st floor and has windows to look out at the bay. This room was fine for us, because the cruise itinerary is packed you don't spend hardly any time in your room, so paying extra for extra room or for a balcony wasn't worth it for us. Plus we like to be in the common area's to meet and talk with other passengers. As we were leaving the cruise I was able to take a sneak peak at the deluxe rooms and junior suite rooms...comparing them to our superior I was glad we hadn't paid extra - the difference between superior and deluxe, which was simply just a little more extra room, wasn't worth it. The best thing about the suite was the balcony, but how much use you would get from it in the time you are there....we were happy with our room for the cost.
