Looking at booking our first trip to Phuket in March next year for approximately 10 days and would like a little bit of advice and some ideas.
We will flying directly to Phuket (prob from Abu Dhabi) and not stopping anywhere en route. We have been to Bangkok many times and love it but the furthest we have ventured out of Bangkok was Hua Hin for 4 nights.
We normally do multi centre holidays so I am thinking given that we are not doing any stopovers this trip that it might be worth splitting our time between a couple of places.
One of the areas I am looking at staying is Cape Panwa (possibly at the Cape Panwa Hotel as we have stayed at their sister hotel Cape Nidhra in Hua Hin and loved it) but am wondering if I should split this with 2 or 3 nights somewhere else not too far away.
Trip will be for my 40th birthday. We like staying in areas that are not too wild but that have some good restaurants and bars within walking distance. This year we went to Vietnam (Hanoi and Halong Bay which we loved) and Bali. We are looking for a fairly relaxing holiday but enjoy being near a beach and like to do a couple of day trips or activities (biking, kayaking, photography). Phi Phi Island will be a definite trip.
Any advice on how we could split our trip would be great.
