There are about 25 or so good to excellent Thai restaurants right on the sand of BangTao Beach all up and down the bay.

Most of these restaurants are within a 10-12 minute walk from just about any Laguna resort beachfront.

One of my favorites is on the far north end of BangTao Beach (the far north is also known as Layan Beach) where you will find the Layan Beach Restaurant - great fried rice dishes, beautiful beach, wonderful area. See it here:

As it sounds like you are staying at Laguna ? - there are numerous restaurants along the entrance road. If you don't always want Thai food most restaurants offer some other options and Woody's Sandwich Shoppe out on the entrance road has some great options for breakfast and light fare.
