Which Ferry from Bang Rak to Koh Phangan

Hi all

We are spending a few days in Koh Samui then going on to Koh Phangan in 2 weeks time, we are staying near south chaweng beach so guessing Bang Rak closest pier?? Can you help with which best ferry to get and if possible times. Do we need to book??

We are spending 5 days in Koh Phangan then need to get back to Nathon pier so any help with ferries then as well please.

Thanks

Haad Rin Ferry has 4 departures a day to Haad Rin from Big Buddha Pier, the closest pier to Chaweng.

Otherwise take Lomprayah catamaran, much faster than HRQ, they offer free pick up from your hotel.

Hi

Agree. If you are heading to Had Rin or a beach on the south / east of Phangan then the Had Rin Queen is a good option. But if you are not staying there it will work out a lot longer and more expensive, and the HRQ is a slow crossing 60- 90mins. However, if you are staying on the west or north then get the Lomprayah at Maenam - they include a free hotel pick up as Matt says. It is only a another 10mins in a bus on Samui and a 20mins journey over on the superfast catamaran.

We are staying at the Santhiya resort (honeymoon), we know they offer a speedboat service but is quite expensive. So would you suggest the Lomrayah. Wasn't sure if Seatran did a service as well? Thanks for your advice xx

Also Seatran does the route Samui-Phangan but as my knowledge doesn't offer free pick up.

Santhiya is up north in Thong Nai Pan. Both piers are on the south coast. How expensive is the Thong Nai Pan express? Taxis from Thong Sala or Haad Rin pier are also expensive to Thong Nai Pan (300b per person, sometimes even more). Does Santhiya maybe offer free (or cheaper) transfer to the hotel from any of the piers in Phangan?

Thanks guys. NeonX Santhiya offers transfer for 300 b per person from Thong sala so similar prices and they are restricted to only 2 collections a day so might just risk getting taxi when we get there.
