I was just wanting some advice from people who know the Koh Samui region. I am planning on going there for a few days in middle of Jan with my boyfriend (both in our mid 20s), and have never been there before. But as we are going from Bangkok to Koh Tao (that we LOVE) we thought we would stay a few nights to break up the trip and check it out.
With all of the research I have been doing it seems that Chaweng is very over populated and comercialised, but as we havent been there I am unsure whether to stay a few nights to check it out, or if being in Bo Phat is a better option, or even on the other side of the island?
We are sort of just want to be relaxed, able to walk to restaurants (within a 10-15 min distance) and look around, but definitely not for partying every night (which is why we are going back to Koh Tao :) ). Good pool and close proximity to the beach is pretty much what I'm looking for. And probably looking to spend up to $150 a night (seems to be a pretty standard price for Samui).
If anyone could help me out with advice on areas to look in or even specific hotels I would REALLY appreciate it!!!!
Thanks heaps :)
