2 adult 1 toddler - accommodation & other kid-related querie

We are bringing our almost 2yo toddler to Chiangmai for a week in mid Oct. We would like to seek your advice on a few areas:

1) Accommodation

We're hoping to find a safe, clean, quiet and convenient location (near food, night markets and massage), with pool and free wi-fi in the room for about US$50-$70/night. We like Rimping Village but its beyond our budget. We are also exploring Dreamcatcher, Vieng Lanna and a studio appt "twin peak" (near shangri-la). The reviews are positive, and we like to check if they are suitable to our needs?

2) Stroller friendly

We are planning to visit the following places but not sure if we are better off leaving our stroller in the hotel? Zoo, Tweechol Botanical Gdn, Wararot Market, Doi Suthep, elephant farm, tiger kingdom.

Thanks much!

Have only had toddler experience with the zoo, Wararot Market, Mae Sa Elephant Camp & Chiang Dao Elephant camp .... I would leave the stroller behind for those. The arms get tired, but such is life with a youngster.

When our boys were that age we would take a really light weight stroller with a shoulder strap attached. That way - when convenient you could use it and when not - just fold it up and carry it over your shoulder. I'm talking about the ones that have no baskets or anything and don't recline - just a small seat and light weight frame.

It's also handy to have if they fall asleep while you are out.

Rimping usually comes in around that budget - I just had a quick look and it seems the superior rooms there which would have been in your budget are sold out - so only deluxe and up showing. Have you tried emailing the hotel direct to ask them about availability? It may be that the rooms they give to wholesalers are fully booked.

Raming Lodge is a bit cheaper and up closer to the old city - it is in an area with bars but is still a popular family hotel.

Another one to try is Baan Thai Village - they have balconies and a nice pool - inbetween the old city and the night bazaar.
