Aiport hotel?

I have a stop over for one night in Bangkok (mid October) and require a mid range hotel close to the airport - any suggestions?

The Grand Pinnacle mentioned on the link in the first post is a good option and you will also get picked up from/taken to the airport.

I have used the Amaranth Best Western twice and am booked again for one night in Nov. It is not really an airport hotel (about 15 minutes away), but it is quite nice, has a good breakfast buffet, free wi-fi, and, as AnishQuenim noted above, includes airport transfers.

What time do you arrive and what time do you leave the next day? How much do you want to spend on a mid range priced hotel? (My mid range price could be much lower than yours!)

How much time in Bangkok? It may cost no more to stay in the city for the night and make use of your time in Bangkok. Some hotels that are supposed to be close to the airport don't save you much time. Maybe even in the morning when you need a taxi they may be harder to find than in the city.

Arrive before midnight you have cheap rail service to Pratunam area. Only 45 baht. Rail service back to airport another 45 baht from Pratunam. There are hotels you can walk to from the Airport Rail Link and the Skytrain.

Unless you're really arriving at midnight and leaving again at the crack of dawn, get a hotel in town. It only takes 40 minutes to BKK in a taxi, 30 minutes if you're handy to the ARL train. Downtown you have a choice of dozens of hotels and you have all the attractions around you of one of te world's great cities.
