Hi,

Yes, there is a new direct bus run by 'the Transport Company' . It runs from mo chit bus station in Bangkok straight through to Siem reap and Phnom Penh , one bus to each destination. The return trip from Siem Reap is run by NATTAKAN (Cambodia) CO., LTD. it is the official partner of Transport Co. Their New office is located in the old market in Siem Reap, along Sivatha Road, very near in KFC restaurant. This is also the place where they park the bus and wait for the passengers. Trip costs $28 and the bus leaves at 8am.

Cheers

You can also get a train from Aranyaprathet about 3-4km's from border, Thailand side. It leaves around midday and well get you to Bangkok in the early evening. Costs 50-60 baht - very cheap.

The 3rd Class train cost 48 bahts, and turned out to be one of the highlights of our recent trip.

We got through Poipet mid-morning before all the buses arrived, then took a tuk tuk to the Market Motel at Aranyapraphet (80 bahts).

The Motel was excellent value. Got one of the best rooms @550 bahts. Swimming pool, pleasant outside covered restaurant bar.

Stayed 2 nights, and caught the 0640 train. The train station is a 10 minute tuk tuk ride from the Motel.

Far more relaxing experience than doing SR to BKK in one long day.
