4 days in Bangkok

Hi , we are a family of 4 with two teenagers and will be staying in Bangkok for 4 days in the Citadines Sukhumvit. We have been to Bangkok before and done the touristy stuff.

I have also already read the FAQ on the right (about things to do).

I would appreciate if you could help me with ideas for day trips or things to do for 3 days, the fourth day we are just resting before we continue on our train journey south.

Any ideas of places to go or things to do in and around Bangkok?

Thanks you.

cheers

Hi, I wonder if you have previously been to the theme park DreamWorld? I am sure your teenage children would love it! A great fun filled day out...

Maybe contact some of the tour guides listed under FAQ's and see what they have to offer.

Daytrip to Ayutheya, go there by bus and come back on boat on river. Just join a tour. Food and aircon on boat and grat views along river coming back into Bangkok.

Definitely a trip to Ayutthaya, you could book a tour with your hotel or get a bus from the North bus Terminal or a train from Hualamphong station. also Kanchanaburi is a good day option but you need to set off early to see all that there is to see.

Hi,

Another couple of suggestions, maybe a cycle tour of rural Bangkok, there are various companies that run this type of tour, there's a nice one around the Ko Kret area in Nothaburi and another in the south around Klong Toey, try spiceroads for ideas. A visit to the Ancient City at Samut Prakarn is also a good day out of the city.

Hi,

If you haven't already done so take the early morning train to Kanchanaburi or the surrounding area:

It may be more convenient to take a bus back to Bangkok.

Ancient City is a good day trip as well The Mall water park in Bang Kapi is good for kids while you shop. Into planes go to the Royal Thai Air Force Museum by Don Muang.

You can find lots of stuff to do if you pick up a copy of Discover Bangkok with Kids. Asia books has it or amazon before you go. We use it all of the time and it includes short trips outside of Bangkok.
