Help!
Has anyone been on the Loy Nava boat? I'm thinking about it for new Years Eve 2009 but the cost is putting me off and as you know you only get one shot at it so it has to be right!
Any advice?
cheers

Loy Nava is fantastic!! We went in January 2009 on the 6PM cruise and LOVED it. THe food was fantastic, some of the best we had in Thailand. The ambience was lovely, a woman played traditional kim music in the background. A couple of times a traditionally dressed dancer would come out to dance elegantly. It's on an antique teakwood rice barge, which was really lovely and intimate.
However, if you are looking for a party boat , this is not it. We saw lots of dinner cruises go by as we were doing ours, and were so glad we chose Loy Nava. Most of the other ones took place on big/huge modern boats and had more of a party atmosphere.
Loy Nava was intimate and romantic with fabulous food and fabulous views. Highly recommend it!
I endorse Halilee remarks. It is outstanding. The price is worth it, although you will be paying a hefty premium for NYE.
Any cruise on NYE will be priced at top rates. I agree very much with the comments above about Loy Nava, food is deliciou, with generous portions, and service excellent.
Thanks for the messages guys, really appreciate it. I agree NYE will be expensive and i will be paying a premium so just want to get it right, weather to book the trip early on and go on somewhere for fireworks and drinks later or book the late one that goes past the midnight hour to see the fireworks!
many thanks
