We have 7 persons altogether with 2 elderly that's my parent each 52 and 60 years old. I feel proud because they can join me in our hectic schedule. Here you are: Day 1 (Wed 12/11): We start our journey from KL with China Airline using Airbus A330 (nice plane). The ticket cost us RM1388 (Matta fair price). We arrived at 7pm at Taoyuan Airport and apply for the Youth Card at the service counter (very fast) and the temp around 20C. What a nice weather. Unfortunately Free-Go bus only operated until 7pm so we need to take the Kuo Kuang bus cost 125NT to TMS. Reach TMS around 8.30pm and buy all the ticket need for the following day. FYI, initially we plan to Hualien on Sat but ticket is full. So, we shift our Hualien trip to Fri. Ticket to Hualien cost 618NT(return- chu kuang) and Chiayi cost 600NT (tze chiang). After that, take Metro MRT to Ximen (500NT for easy card should be enough) and reach Future Star hotel at 9pm. The location is superb and value for money. Just 1180NT per night. Then we start our first trip to Hua Si night market. Emmm... i think can give a miss on that (my opinion). Day 2 (Thur 13/11): Our superd hectic day start with a breakfast at Shilin MRT station at 7.30am. Then take a bus to National Palace Muzuem (can use easy card) reach there around 9am with a little shower but did not spoil our fun. If you really like "art and history" must take at least 2-3 hour but for me... :p seem already paid 80NT entrence fee, we decide to walk all 3 storey exhibition and still take us 1.5 hours. SO BIG!!! Then we take a short walk and photo taking in the garden next to the Muzeum. Then take bus back to Shilin station and transit to xinbeitou for hotspring. We reach Xinbeitou around 12++ and walk to Beauty Age Hotel for hotspring. Private family rom only cost 1000NT for 7 persons but need swin suit so we go for 2 person private room cost 400NT per room. After enjoying the 1 hour sulfur bath, we have a visit to the Hell valley and Muzeum. Please dun miss the hell valley!!! Very Very nice view like "God go down from earth". We din eat lunch because our next stop in Danshui. We reach there around 3pm and eat a lot of thing there. The weather is not so clear so no sunset view but we still take a boat the Fisherman whaft cost 100NT (return). For couple, please dun miss out this romantic view because whenever have a strong wind blow, gays... you know what to do lar! Then we transit to Jiantan station and take free shuttle to Miramar for the Ferris Wheel cost 120NT per person. Back to Jiantan station for Shilin night market. A lot of stall there but please dun miss out the BIG BIG chicken chop. That's all for our day 2.

Hi, Glad you enjoyed your tri0p. You got back to Malaysia Yesterday?? So how did you manage the sudden change in temperature??

Day 3 (Fri 14/11) I have book our famous Mr Looi service for our Taroko trip one month before but unfortunatelt train ticket on Sat full. So, we change to fri and Mr Looi being book that day but he still arrange another guide for us call Miss Wong. Definately cannot compare with Mr Looi lar. He is so friendly and keep saying sorry for not accompany us for the whole day trip. Initailly it cost 4500NT, because due to our tieme constraint, we can't make it to Baiyang waterfall so he reduce 200NT for us. I strongly recommend to stay in Hualien a day to fully enjoy everything there. The place we have visit is Ching Sui cliff, Shakadang trail (just take photo, the trail under constrution due to recently typoon), Swallow Grotto, Nine tunnel trail, Tien siang, Eternal Spring and Seven star lake. We take chu kuang train at 5.50pm and reach TMS at 8.30pm. We have our dinner at Fei Tin mala steamboat at Ximen. It cost 480NT include take per person. It's very happening at night but we alrealy tired and back to hotel and rest. Day 4 (Sat 15/11) We plan to take Chu Kuang or Tze Chiang to Rui Fang but full. So, we decide to wake up later at 8am and catch the komuter train at 8.25am to Rui Fang. It cost 52NT and stand for 50min cause Sat... too crowded. Once reach Rui Fang, we take a bus to Jiu Fen cost 15NT per person. It tale 20 minutes reach there. Please dun miss out this beautiful place and there got a lot of thing to eat. But i recommend all of you to hired a cab for whole day trip take include Yeliou, Jinguashi, Ping Si, Shi fen and Kee Lung. Because take train and bus will cause you a lot of time. After finish enjoying the scenic there, we take bus cost 90NT direct to ZhongXiaoFuXing station. We reach to Chiang Kai Shek Memorial hall at 1.30pm. Since it sat, a lot of activity there. Must see place cost represent Taiwan. We also saw a group of student there doing politic demonstration for Chen Sui Bian... Haha... Once finish photo taking, our next stop is Sun Yet San Memorial Hall. Too tired so, just take some photo and direct to Taipei City hall. Take shuttle bus to 101. Reach there around 4pm and spend 2 hours there. Ticket cost 350NT. Then proceed to We Fen Pu by bus. Very crowded and walk around for 1.5 hours. Seem is entering winter, so, all the cloth they sell is winter cloth. Walk to Rao He night market and traffic jam at the market. We din spend much time there cause TOO CROWDED until cannot walk plus we are superd tired already. Once finish, take train 18NT back to TMS and transit to Ximen. More happening at sat nite in ximen but again... too tired. We miss out the show! Day 5 (Sun 16/11) Check out hotel and transit to Chiayi at 8.30am. Have our breakfast + lunch at the train. Very hungry because need to wait until TaiChung then only got "bian tang" for sell. Reach Chiayi at 11.45am. Since the Forest rain still under repair, we take a bus at 12.10noon (2.5 hours) cost 214NT. Also a lot of tout there. I think the price they charge also reasonable. Alishan national park charge 150NT entrence fee. Reach our hotel Cau Ching San at 3pm. We book 6 persons room cost 3600NT. Since we have 7 persons they charge additional 500NT. Due to low season, they charge 4100NT for a 10 persons room (very lucky). Temp there is around 10-11C. After put our bag there, we have a walk to Alishan recreational park for 2-3 hour. Sky getting dark, so we din manage to walk all the trail and have our dinner there. Quite nice and cost us 1400NT for stone steamboat + 7 others vege. We sleep early that day cause charging battery for tommorow sunrise.
|
Day 6 (Mon 17/11) Wake up at 5am. We go to Yu Shan by van that cost us double if you take train. Van cost 300NT per person. But i think it worth coz they take you to a lot of beautiful place before proceed to the place waiting for sunrise. We are super lucky cause they said 70 out of 365 days have the opportunety to see sunrise. We are one of them. Then back to hotel for breakfast at 8.30am. Since Alishan famous for the forest train, we din miss out and take a short train ride (only 7 minute) to scared tree at 9am cost 100NT (return) and take a few photo and back at 9.30am. We also have a chance to watch the culture performance at 10am from their "yuan zhu ming". Then check out at 11am and catch the bus (214NT) 11.10am back to Chiayi. Have our lunch at Chiayi famous "xou chi rou fan". Take tze chiang train 248NT at 2.30pm to Kao Siong. Reach there and make our way to Kingstown Hotel. It just next to the railway station. Cost 2100NT for double room and 3000NT for family room. Temp there is a bit hot around 26-28C. The hotel is very good but just miss out one thing. Its located at the rear station so each time need to cross the railway station and paid 6NT once you cross. We take a cab cost 150NT to love river. Have a cruise cost 80NT perperson and another cab cost 100NT to Liu He night market. Very organise and clean. A lot of variety there. Even though is small compare to Taipei night market, but i like this one the most. Once try out everything, we walk back to our hotel and have our rest. Day 7 (Tue 18/11) We have our breakfast at the hotel from 8am to 9am. Check out and proceed to Metro station. Cost 25NT to reach Zouying station for our transit to Bullet train. We take 10.06am train to taipei cost 965NT. Just 1 hour 44 minute... So fast and cheap compare to our country bullet train. Once reach taipei, we go taiwan storyland and spend 1 hours there. Temp is around 20C with strong wind blown from north of China. So, it very dizzle but i like it very much. Entrence fee is 250NT together they will give you 150NT voucher for our lunch there. There have some crewman doing filming but i did not recognise each of the actor/actress... :p Then check in at Future star Hotel at 1.30pm. Have a 2 hours walk at Ximenting. Eat Ah Zhong Mi Sua... Ok Ok lor. Then go to Eslite bookstore at Taipei city hall. We end our night market tour at Shida night market. Reach back at our hotel around 9pm. Since this is our last day, me and my gf decide to walk until all the shop close. Around 10.30pm all shop started to close their shop and we back to our hotel. Day 8 (Wed 19/11) Since our flight at 8.20am, we need to start our journey at 5.30am. But again free-go bus did not operate so early. So, the hotel help us to call a van cost 1400NT per car. We reach airport at 6.15am and check-in. Our plane back to KL is boeing 747 and finally home sweet home. The most aspire me is the taipei culture. The people there is very civilise compare to my country. Taipei people is very nice and friendly but still have some exceptional. One more thing, if you plan to buy refigirator magnet, dun worry... u can find it at the airport. I have search all around every place and night market but finally get it at the airport.
